Golden Pineapple...
A symbol of good hospitality.
Tasty drinks & relaxed vibes

A Golden Pineapple has historically been a symbol of good hospitality and that is what we are all about here; Friendly service catering for a casual drink, a special occasion and everything in between.

Continuing a relaxing and intimate atmosphere from mid week into the weekend we are a calm little oasis in the bustling Laines of Brighton; a city synonymous with the grandeur and romanticism of the regency period.

We serve up a small cocktail list of in house creations and twists on classics, utilising fresh homemade and seasonal ingredients; but we also love going off menu and jumping into the classics, so don't be too shy to ask.

We have also just launched a new kitchen concept of Seasonal Pinxtos and small plates, called Espina, inspired by the Basque Country; a region synonymous with food, hospitality and Michelin stars.

Owing to the size, shape and style of the bar, we only cater for smaller groups (up to 6 people), but we are always happy to offer recommendations for local spots where you can have as much fun as a larger group.

Please note the menu featured is only a sample menu, and is subject to daily/weekly changes

***Please note that owing to capacity restrictions in place to make the venue COVID safe we are not taking bookings, but are walk ins only.

We have found this the safest and fairest way to operate our business in an unprecedented time for modern hospitality***

Espina
Basque in Brighton
Seasonal pintxos and small plates taking inspiration from the Basque country
@espina.brighton

Newly opened, Espina, Spanish for thorn or spike, takes inspiration from the food of the informal restaurants of the Basque Country and their pinxtos.

Espina's menu provides a constantly changing menu ranging from speedy elevated bar snacks up to a full evenings worth of casual dining. Perfect for an impromptu catch up, date night, or a carefully organised evening to impress your friends.

The menu featured is a sample of our new offering, and as we find our feet in the kitchen and refine our service, we will expand our menu and change it to continue to showcase the freshest seasonal produce.

***Until COVID restrictions are lifted and until we have found our feet in the kitchen we will not be taking bookings, and be walk ins only***
